At Wyatt Ryan Dental, frequency of recall appointments with our Geelong dentists is specifically tailored to your individual needs. Usually this will mean either three, six or 12-monthly dental examinations.

When you visit our practice, our dentists will thoroughly examine your gums and teeth. X-rays may also be required where a visual inspection is not sufficient. Often a scale and clean of your teeth and gums is also performed. This removes plaque and tartar that regular brushing and flossing alone cannot achieve. A discussion and demonstration in various oral hygiene techniques is also included – there are often new, efficient products available to help keep the gums in healthy condition.

Our dentists will discuss all their findings with you and outline preventative measures as well as any treatment that may be required. Importantly, you will be informed of any potential future problems that may develop. Our advice is never limited to the short-term health of your teeth and gums, but on long-term preservation. You will also be given the opportunity to discuss and ask any questions you may have.
